Meet the Principal

As your new principal, I am eager to meet all the wonderful Van Buren students and parents! Your school and staff have a great reputation in our district.

I will be starting my 31st year in PYLUSD! I started as a teacher and then Assistant Principal at Fairmont. I have experience teaching in every grade level except first. It would be hard for me to tell you which grade is my favorite since I loved them all! My K-6 background is a great help when guiding a school and implementing new programs and curriculum. In 1987, I went on to become Principal for five years at each site of Sierra Vista, Mabel Paine, and Brookhaven.

I am a great supporter of all of our schools since my own two grown children are successful graduates of PYLUSD schools-Golden, Tuffree, and El Dorado. I am pleased to part of our district, our great schools and now Van Buren!
